Festivals I've visited...
Bluegrass and Old-Time Music
Festivals - Long before the surprise film hit of 2001 "Oh
Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney and The Soggy Bottom Boys
brought Bluegrass to the forefront of American consciousness, Bluegrass was
alive and well! These festivals are almost universally RV friendly
with plenty of dry-camping and sometimes even with hookups. If you
haven't been to one, I highly recommend adding a stopover at a Bluegrass
Festival the next time you're looking for a fun festival to go to!
Western Festivals

The second-half of the nineteenth century in America was a period of
unparalleled expansion made possible in many cases by the efforts of the
cowboy. These festivals celebrate the life, lifestyle, dress, food,
songs, and the love of his horse by a working cowboy.
BBQ Festivals
- Is there anything more American than tasty barbeque on a hot summer
afternoon? How about some State, National and International
championship BBQ!
Blues Festivals
- B. B. King, Buddy Guy, Catfish Keith,
Lightning Hopkins, Muddy Waters... the list of Blues
greats and near-greats goes on. The haunting and evocative sounds of
the Blues stir our emotions and, sometimes, let us "share the pain". A
great American music form!
Jazz Festivals
- The uniquely American music style in all its many flavors is loved around
the world! At these festivals you can be immersed in the sounds of
Satchmo, Dizzy, Cab, Stanley, Bunny, Ray and many others.
