If you've been bitten by the "genealogy bug" (it's a really addicting hobby) then you may be interested in the various documents which make up the paper trail for an ancestor.  Below are some links to pages which show records which I've combed for my ancestors from many sources.  They consist of Vital Records (the "big three" - Birth, Marriage, Death) and Tax Assessments, Civil Actions (Divorce, Civil Suits, Wills, Probate), Land Records (Patents, Settlements, Indentures, Deeds), Burial Records (including Gravesite and Cemetery photographs),  Family Bible records, and Published References.

Old Photographs

Vital Records

Civil Actions

Burial Records

Family Bibles (sadly, none have yet been discovered)

Reference Works (books, newspapers, magazines, city directories)

Remember, to see my compiled family genealogy please go to www.tribalpages.com and use User ID: gary2560 and Password: garysgenes.

Genealogy trivia:  What's the difference between a cemetery and a graveyard?

Answer:  A  graveyard  is  always  adjacent  to  and  part  of  a  church.
